This month, we’re excited to spotlight Brittany Pensyl, whose adaptability, strong work ethic, and passion for creating a welcoming culture truly embody the spirit of Extropy.
Brittany began her professional career in healthcare before making a major career change and joining Extropy. While the industries are very different, her focus has remained the same: taking care of people, building trust, and making sure others feel supported. She first learned about the opportunity at Extropy through Colby Leary, whose encouragement helped open the door to an entirely new career path.
What Brittany enjoys most about Extropy is the people and the culture. She describes the remote environment as warm, inviting, and anything but corporate, appreciating how willing everyone is to connect and support one another.
Brittany has played an important role in strengthening engagement and culture across the company, from Fun Friday calls and Slack engagement to helping create a more connected employee experience. She’s also proud of her work supporting the transition to Rippling, including organizing information, conducting audits, and learning the behind-the-scenes operations that help keep the company running smoothly.
One of Brittany’s defining qualities is her ability to keep things moving. She finds satisfaction in completing tasks, maintaining momentum, and knowing that things are running smoothly behind the scenes. Her approach is practical and humble: do the work, do it well, and keep moving forward.

Brittany describes Extropy’s culture in one word: vibrant. She believes everyone brings something unique to the team, and that it’s those individual perspectives that come together to create the culture Extropy has today.
Outside of work, Brittany is a passionate car enthusiast. She owns a Camaro, enjoys attending car shows and meets, and admits that she could probably talk about cars far more than her colleagues might expect.
